A 17-year-old unsupervised Learner driver has been banned from driving on NSW roads for three months after she was spotted by Gundagai police travelling in the right hand lane, with an unsecured load, on Tuesday.

Police say they stopped the teenage girl on the Hume Highway at Mundarlo just after 11am and found the Learner driver behind the wheel despite green P plates being displayed.

Her passenger was a provisional driver, which is below the level needed to supervise a Learner driver.

The driver was immediately banned from driving in NSW for three months.

She was also issued with a series of infringements for not being properly accompanied, for not displaying her L-plates as required, for not keeping left, and for driving with an unsecured load.

Police did not confiscate the car as it did not belong to her.
