Relieving manager Maree Dobbins said 30 cabins and one caravan had been moved out of the park and stored in the Tarcutta Street car park of the Wagga Visitors Information Centre.
Mrs Dobbins said the park would be closed for at least a week, as it took about five days to return the cabins once the wet conditions improved.
Recruits from the RAAF Base at Forest Hill helped move the cabins out of the caravan park, a job that takes about one-and-a-half days to complete.
The Bureau of Meterology was predicting up to 80 millimetres of rain would fall on Wagga on Friday, with a further 40mm possible on Saturday and about 5mm more on Sunday.
