The club might have done an even better job than they originally imagined, with Octopuses Pink and Octopuses Black playing out a 6-6 draw at Oasis on Tuesday night.
Pink were on top early, jumping out to a 2-0 lead at quarter-time on the back of goals to Larn White and Clayton Smith.
But Black's eventual hat-trick scorer Ryan Menz was having none of it, scoring twice in the second term to claw within one goal at half-time.
Octopuses Pink trailed by one at three quarter time, before piling on three goals to Pink's two in the final term to draw level.
In other men's game, Dolphins snuck past Raiders 6-5.
Trailing 4-1 at three quarter time, Raiders goal scoring machine Doug De Jong took matters into his own hands.
De Jong scored three goals in the fourth quarter alone - and four overall - to drag his side back into the contest.
But he eventually ran out of time to pull off the impossible.
Dolphins captain-coach Shaun Bennett top-scored for his side with two goals.
Dolphins will take on Octopuses Pink next week, while Octopuses Black will face Raiders.
In women’s A-grade, Dolphins will battle Octopuses on Monday.
