The Daily Advertiser is featuring profiles on each of the Miss Wagga entrants weekly.
Name: Maddison Smith
Age: 23
Occupation: Regional Administrator, Cancer Council NSW
What is your favourite thing about Wagga?
The way the whole community gets behind a cause. No matter whether it’s a charity fundraiser, or someone within the community with a need; if the Wagga community believes in it, they will get behind it.
What is your favourite film and why?
I am not a movie fan.
Who would you invite to dinner (top three)?
Garth Brooks, because he has been my favourite singer for as long as I can remember.
Emma Carey (The Walking Paraplegic) because she is so inspirational and positive.
Hamish Blake, for the laughs (and hopefully he brings his son, Sonny).
Where do you see yourself in five years?
Owning my own home in Wagga and continuing to work for Cancer Council NSW.
If you won Lotto what is the first thing you would purchase/do?
I would take my mum on a well-deserved holiday and buy a house.
If you could do one thing without punishment what would you do?
Rob a bank and provide the money to people with a need – like paying for medical treatment or a roof over their heads
Why did you join the Miss Wagga Wagga Quest?
To push myself out of my comfort zone, create new relationships within the community and gain confidence within myself and my abilities.
