PAH impressed judges, took out four awards

Paul and Bec Hopper first started entering the HIA Awards five years ago in a very personal way, with their own home.

Since then they have entered, and won, every year.

The husband and wife team own and operate PAH Innovative Construction and won every category they entered this year.

They took out Custom Built Home of the year, Country Home of the year, Custom built home $500,001 to $700,000 and Custom Built home from $450,001 to $550,000.

The couple were “ecstatic” with the wins and were thrilled to share it with all their staff on the night.

“It was really nice for our staff to see the reward for all the hard work they do,” Mrs Hopper said.

While all staff members work hard to get the best results each day, the business as a whole is looking at the bigger picture.

With skills shortage becoming more of an issue for the building sector PAH Innovative Construction is doing their bit to address the issue.

We always employ an apprentice every year, it’s our way to try and make an impact on the skills shortage.

The same attention to detail and quality that goes into building homes also goes into training their staff.

“We keep our apprentices on for their entire term,” Mrs Hopper said. To date they have trained 12 carpenters.
