Craig Knowles pips teammate to be named Wagga hockey's best

Lake Albert’s Craig Knowles capped off a stellar season by winning the David Mumford Memorial Trophy.

Knowles finished four votes clear of teammate, and six-time winner, Paula Oakman to be named best and fairest.

After only polling one vote in the first seven rounds, Knowles stormed home with 16 votes in the next eight  games to take the title. 

Current Wagga Hockey President, Ken Larkin was awarded the association’s Olive McWhinney Memorial Award for Member of the Year.

For the first time in over a decade, Wagga Hockey added a new life member with current board member and competitions manager Sam Arnold inducted on Saturday night.
