Gestier will miss Sunday’s game against Narrandera after undergoing eye surgery on Sunday afternoon.
He barely lasted five minutes against Mangoplah-Cookardinia United-Eastlakes last Saturday after he split his eyelid, cut his face in a couple of places and suffered concussion.
Gestier had eye surgery on Sunday to reattach his split eyelid and has received good reports since.
He hopes to be back for an important final round showdown with Tigers at Robertson Oval.
“It’s ended up pretty good,” Gestier said.
“At this stage if it heals up all good, I should only miss this week.
“I should be right to go against Tigers, which is actually a pretty big game now.”
The Demons hold top spot over MCUE on percentage with just two rounds remaining.
Collingullie-GP finish with games against Narrandera and Wagga Tigers, while MCUE take on Griffith and Narrandera.
