The man was present in Wagga Local Court on Wednesday, facing charges of a sexual assault without consent and two counts of indecent assault.
Solicitor Zac Tankard said the accused required longer negotiations than usual as new representation was sought by his client, with a reasonable amount of material to wade through.
Charges allege the man kissed the victim’s lips and breasts, placed his hand up her skirt and inside her underwear before having sexual intercourse with the woman, without her consent.
The accused also faces a supply prohibited drug charge in relation to 10.5 grams of methylamphetamine and possession of a prohibited weapon without a permit.
The case will return to court on October 11.
