The 18-year-old has been accepted into the Australian Supermodel of the Year competition and has high hopes of using the initiative to gain a bigger profile for her burgeoning career.
After attending Leeton’s St Francis College, Miss Pasquetti completed a year of home schooling before moving to the bright lights of Sydney to work.
Becoming a model has always been her dream and last year she was signed by Neon Model Management.
“That’s been the best thing that’s ever happened to me,” Miss Pasquetti said.
“It’s like a dream come true in itself.
“I’m not the tallest person and I’m not really into the catwalk side of modelling and Neon have all of these great opportunities.
“Being part of this competition and being accepted into it is just fantastic. I wanted to enter to show what I can achieve.”
Miss Pasquetti will need to attend an audition in Sydney as part of the competition, with residents also able to do their part by “liking” her picture on the Australian Supermodel of the Year Facebook page. At that audition she will be required to model swimwear, formal wear and a casual outfit.
“I’m also hoping to do some sort of charity work as part of the competition too,” she said.
“I have a passion for that kind of thing.” While modelling has always been the ultimate goal for Miss Pasquetti she said it was never really about how she looked.
“I think you have to be a good person on the inside as well,” she said. “For me it’s also been about growing my confidence. I’ve always been quite shy and I suffer from anxiety.
“If you had have met me 12 months ago compared to now, I’m a completely different person. I’m more outgoing and I really just enjoy life.”
