This week, the two winners from the last round met with CSU/Rivcoll to play Harlequins.
Both teams have had two wins against each other but Harlequins have been successful, winning the last 2 encounters.
Harlequins should be back to full strength with the return of Jackson White whilst CSU/Rivcoll will need to find a way to combat the three Watson brothers – Brendan, Craig and Bradley - who have been in dominating form in the past few weeks.
In the late game, Royals and Lake Albert will be looking for redemption after poor performances last week.
Fourth-placed Royals welcome back Connor Higgins from holidays with Lake Albert set to be bolster by the inclusion of Benson Williams, keeper Andrew Guertsen and striker Matt Davis.
After starting the season unbeaten, Lake Albert have lost four of their past six games and lost the most recent encounter between the two sides 4-3.
Meanwhile, a win on Wednesday night has all but assured Royals White the women’s minor premiership for the 2017 season with six rounds to go.
Royals White played CSU/Rivcoll in a mid-week catch up match and chalked up a 3-1 victory over the bottom placed side to move 17 points clear of second placed Royals Blue.
Both sides met again, this Saturday with CSU still not at full strength missing Maddy Hall and keeper Rachel Hindi, who joins Sam Moxon on the injury list.
Elise Kinsey and Elspbeth Beeson have a tough challenge to stop the likes of Royals White forwards as they hold down the top three goals scorers with Sarah Bonny (12), Vic Schiller (eight) and Bronwyn Harper (seven) leading the tally.
With the minor premiership almost decided, the race the second spot and the crucial double chance during finals means the Rosellas and Royals Blue game will be an important clash.
Royals Blue sit seven points clear of Rosellas currently but loss their most recent encounter.
A win to Carla Bailey’s Rosellas team will close the gap to just four points.
Rosellas have been in good form lately, winning two of their past three games and suffered a one-goal loss to top team Royals White.
