The ladder leaders made it 10 straight wins to start the season, putting the Bulldogs away with a strong last quarter to get the four points, 15.3 (93) to 7.7 (49) at Maher Oval.
The Bulldogs had a number of past players in attendance for premiership reunions and they rose to the occasion.
Turvey Park only trailed by 14 points at half-time and three-quarter-time, and had it not been for the Demons’ prolific efficiency in front of goal, it could have been closer.
Ultimately, Collingullie-GP lifted and put the Bulldogs away in an impressive final term.
Collingullie-GP captain-coach Luke Gestier said the win did not come easy.
“Their endeavour and that was up, they came to play, that’s for sure,” Gestier said.
“It wasn’t all smooth sailing for us and we only kicked away in the last quarter.
“That’s probably the difference between a top side and an up-and-coming side, they just dropped off that last quarter.”
Jimmy Kennedy was best for the Demons, with a strong game through the midfield. Justin Simmons was very good down back, while Brad Aiken played a good game.
Marc Geppert kicked seven goals for Collingullie-GP.
Andrew Emery was strong at centre-half-back for Turvey Park, while Josh Ashcroft and Clint Shields also impressed.
