The Lions matched it with the Demons early, before the ladder leaders broke the game open on their way to a big win, 19.16 (130) to 10.7 (67) at Crossroads Oval.
There was only one point in it at quarter-time but as has been the case with the Lions, against the top teams, they were unable to sustain it for four quarters.
The Demons kicked six goals to one in the second quarter, then followed it up with another six to two in the third term, as their midfield got right on top.
Collingullie-GP captain-coach Luke Gestier was happy with another top performance from his team.
“It was good to get the four points,” Gestier said.
“They definitely did challenge us early but once the sting went out of it, class prevailed and we got on top.”
The Klemke brothers, Jayden and Matt, were two of the Demons’ best.
Riley Corbett kicked four goals in a losing team for the Lions.
