Leeton United led 1-0 at half-time but the Wolves were able to score twice in the second half, through Jaiden O’Brien and Richard Skidmore, to register an important victory.
“It was a great win for us,” Tolland co-coach Chris Ayton said.
“Leeton are a quality side, they’re skillful, hard at the ball and for us, with all our players coming back over the last month, this was our first test to find out exactly where we’re at. So we’re pretty happy really, and to be honest, we’ve only got improvements to come.”
Jaiden O’Brien was best for Tolland in his first game back from suspension. Bruno Andre, Kyle Harrison and Lachlan Bushby were others to shine in a strong team performance.
The only bad news was a couple of injuries. Ayton is set for a stint on the sidelines after injuring his ankle.
He had to return, in goals, when Tolland keeper Sam Kirk suffered a mild concussion.
A decision was made on Saturday to move the game to Forrest Hill due to the condition of Kessler Park.
