Two teams from both schools will progress to the CCC Championships in Sydney next term after strong performances at Wagga Netball Centre.
Kildare came out winners in the Juniors (years seven and eight) and Intermediate (years nine and 10), while Mater Dei’s two teams finished one-two in the Seniors (years 11 and 12).
Kildare defeated Albury’s Xavier High School by one in the Juniors, and two in the Intermediates.
Mater Dei’s one and two teams finished the day on top in the seniors.
“It was really good, a really good standard and played in a really good spirit as well,” carnival organiser Karen Murray said.
“I was watching a lot of the year seven and eight and it was really physical netball, but physical to the ball, no malice or anything. It was really good physical netball, the standard was really good. Very pleasing actually.
“The finals were really close and it was reflected in the way they were played, too.”
