It was almost a sellout at this year’s Miss Wagga Wagga Quest Trivia Night.

More than 240 Wagga residents filled the PCYC hall on Saturday night for the first event in a six-month search for the city’s next leading lady

A hostess of the evening, Miss Aley Harvey said the event was fantastic, with all five contestants “run off their feet”.

Miss Harvey said there were more people than “ever thought possible”, with a team at every table.

“Everyone had a really good time,” Miss Harvey said. “We were so blown away.”

Money raised at this year’s events will go to the seven charity groups.

Miss Harvey said she and the other entrants were eternally grateful to everyone who came to support the evening and to those “special few” who stayed back to help at the end.
