More than 35 aspiring Riverina dancers have learnt from the best of the best, gaining a glimpse into their futures.

Wagga Academy of Ballet owner Leanne Nicol said students were able to learn how a piece was created with industry professionals, performing routines from the Sydney Dance Company’s tour, set to arrive in Wagga on July 8.

Ms Nicol said it was great to see students working on their contemporary techniques with current professionals.

“We don’t often see these dancers in Wagga so to have a class with them is a huge benefit,” Ms Nicol said.

“It’s a chance to see professionals in their element but also for students to showcase their talent.”

Tickets for the Frame of Mind tour can be purchased from Wagga’s Civic Theatre.
