First responders from Fire and Rescue NSW’s Turvey Park and Esplanade stations arrived to a South Parade home well alight shortly before 1am.
With smoke billowing from the house, more units were brought in to battle the blaze.
“Crews got to work and brought the fire under control quickly,” FRNSW Turvey Park reported on its Facebook page.
“Due to the extent of fire spread it took crews several hours to overhaul the property and extinguish all hot spots.
“We are happy to report although the property was extensively damaged no one was injured.”
Firefighters arrived within six minutes of the first Triple 0 call, the station said.
The area has been cordoned off and was under police watch when the sun rose on Wednesday morning.
The South Parade blaze is the fourth house fire in the Riverina since winter began last week.
A home at Stockinbingal was destroyed on June 1, while two more went up in flames in Griffith on Sunday night.
