The region received one of the 18 sprinter vans from NSW Police on May 24, which were rolled out across the state to focus on random breath testing and mobile drug testing.
The technology allowed Deniliquin police to complete a secondary test on the roadside, rather than taking drivers back to the station.
Those who tested positive were issued with a probation notice preventing them from driving for 24 hours, to allow the drugs to pass through their systems.
Charges will not be laid until the oral fluid sample is sent off to a government laboratory to analyse the type of drug used. Police said the process could take up to three months, depending on the backlog across NSW.
