The Reddies get another good chance against fellow winless team Griffith on Saturday.
CSU has the trek west to face the Blacks, but Fisher is hopeful the can come away with the points.
“We are not far off it," Fisher said.
“We are working with what we've got, are still rebuilding and we’ve had three close losses were our own silly mistakes have probably cost us.”
However it isn’t all good news on the injury front.
CSU have lost Jesse Menz for the rest of the season after he badly injured his knee in the loss to Ag College.
Menz injured both his anterior and medial cruciate ligaments and medial as well as two breaks in the back of the knee.
He’ll miss the rest of the season while Leon Post will also miss the clash with an ankle injury.
