Walking into Mark Anthony's is almost like walking through the front door of your own home.
The staff are always friendly and welcoming and the store is clean and inviting.
This feeling is something the owner, Mark MacKenzie, prides himself on.
When he opened his first store 40 years ago, then called Mark Anthony's Menswear and Jeanery, customer service was always his top priority.
“The experience of shopping is what it’s all about,” he said.
“If customers aren’t enjoying themselves they will shop online.”
This level of service wouldn’t have been possible without dedicated staff.

There have been more than 60 staff employed at the store in its lifetime, including two Miss Wagga winners. Both Sarah Navin and Tamara Hope have worked at the store.
“Without good staff you don’t have a business, they’re essential to keep it running,” Mr MacKenzie said.
He remembers all his staff by name and this is where the store’s inviting feeling starts.
Mr MacKenzie treats all his staff like family.
While some staff come and go, as they work part-time while studying at university or in year 12, Mr MacKenzie had one staff member who worked with him for 28 years and another for 24 years.
“I’ve had some fantastic friends work here over the years,” he said.
The friends he’s worked with helped his business from the inside, while his friends outside of work supported him as customers.
Some of my customers are grandkids of my original customers. I get to know them (customers) and see them come in as boyfriend and girlfriend, then they're married, then they come in with kids. They're like my extended family.

One of the highlights of being in business for Mr MacKenzie is getting to know his customers and building relationships with them.
To celebrate 40 years in business, Mark Anthony’s is currently having a 20 per cent off sale and a $1000 gift voucher draw.
Customers who purchase something during the sale will go in the running to win.
