Acting inspector Nigel Turney said the agreement between local pubs and clubs had improved the behaviour of patrons across the years and would now help protect Wagga women.
He said licensees had again joined forces to take on the “Ask For Angela” scheme, which would officially roll out on Friday.
Inspector Turney said the initiative “primarily addressed and prevented violence against women” and was another good example of how publicans could work together.
Singles feeling trapped in uncomfortable situations can “Ask For Angela” at any bar or club in the city and staff will help them leave.
