You are unlikely to meet a group of more dedicated fans – and their dedication will soon reach a milestone.
The Wagga Sydney Swans Supporters Group started with Linda Hoey and her mum watching games at the Rules Club.
Miss Hoey’s mother started the club in 1997 and she is among many children who inherited their family’s love of a football team and she could not be happier about it.
“I had absolutely no choice, I was dressed in red and white from when I was six,” she said.
Wagga supporters have been with the club for some of its biggest milestones and players, including Jude Bolton and Adam Goodes, have appeared at functions.
“There really is no other place like Sydney, they will always support their fans,” Miss Hoey said.
The branch is preparing to celebrate its 20th birthday and is looking for more committee members.
