On Friday, Ms Cassidy ruled the other side of the racing world, as the celebrity judge for Fashions on the Field at the Wagga Gold Cup.
A well-known fashion blogger, Ms Cassidy said she was excited to return to the track where her retired father Jim Cassidy shaped his career, winning the Gold Cup in 1991 and landing the feature double and Town Plate in 2003.
“I love coming to Wagga, I can remember yabbying with Dad here and I know it holds a special place in his heart too,” Ms Cassidy said.
“Country racing is a lot more laid-back compared to Melbourne or Sydney, everyone is just having a great time.”
Ms Cassidy said this year’s fashions were Autumn based, with plenty of heavier fabrics and darker tones.
“Most girls are dressed appropriately for the races with the dresses below the knees,” Ms Cassidy said.
“Classy and elegant styles are exactly what we want to see at the races.”
