Forsyth and his Farrer League selectors have unveiled a 47-man squad for the trip to Wangaratta on May 20.
Undefeated ladder leaders North Wagga and reigning premiers East Wagga-Kooringal were best represented with eight players each.
Forsyth could not be happier with the talent at his disposal.
“I’ve been really impressed by the amount of players that have shown enthusiasm to play rep football,” Forsyth said.
“We've been able to get a few fellas travelling Canberra within that squad too, which is fantastic.”
Forsyth believes the squad’s strength lies in the midfield.
“We’ve been able to get the majority of the better on-ballers in the league, which is a real positive,” Forsyth said.
“Obviously it all starts in the middle so hopefully we’ll be able to get up and running through there.
“We’ve got a good mix of inside midfielders and also a bit of pace on the outside, so I’m excited to see the how we perform.”
Forysth, along with selectors Aaron de Jong and Geoff Smith, have been busy watching the opening three rounds of the Farrer League.
Forsyth likes what he has seen.
“I think the comp seems fairly even this year,” he said.
“Some of these sides that were considered to be easy games are showing a bit of nous, which is really good and a credit to their coaches.”
The senior squad will train next Wednesday at Maher Oval, followed by sessions the following Tuesday (Narrandera Sportsground) and Thursday (Maher Oval).
Under 18s will train just the final week and all players have been requested to where their club guernsey.
