Gestier and Marc Geppert combined strongly inside forward 50 as the Demons continued their undefeated start to the season, winning 16.16 (112) to 10.6 (66) at Crossroads Oval.
The Bulldogs were competitive and were still within four goals of Collingullie-GP at the final change but never seriously challenged.
Gestier booted 6.7 in big day out in his first game in 400 days and was pleased to get through the game unscathed.
“I missed a few sodas but as I said to the boys, I was actually a nit nervous and a bit jittery,” Gestier said.
“It wasn’t the prettiest game I’ve been involved in but we’ll bank the four points and move on with a bit of momentum.”
Jayden Klemke was best-on-ground, while Marc Geppert booted five goals for the Demons.
Josh Ashcroft was named Turvey Park’s best, while Dane Campbell was also very good.
“I was quite impressed with their effort,” Gestier said of the Bulldogs.
