The official launch of the Miss Wagga Wagga Quest kicks off six months of personal development for the entrants which will see them hosting a number of fundraising events for various charities.
For one entrant, the journey to the quest has been an amazing one having only landed in the city in January this year.
A career in the air force landed Zoe Martin in the city by chance but her passion to get involved and give back to the community had her signing up in no time.
Katharine Graham, who was an entrant in last year’s quest, decided to nominate again having enjoyed the experience in 2016.
One of the first duties for the new entrants was to present a speech to the gathering reflecting on what Wagga Wagga means to them.
Seven groups will benefit from fundraising activities which will be held over the coming six months, culminating with the crowning ceremony in November.
The Daily Advertiser is a major sponsor of the quest.
