The newborn tragically died on Monday in mysterious circumstances and friends are rallying to help the grieving family.
Police were called on Monday morning to a Kooringal home and paramedics treated baby Archer but were unable to save him.
A 32-year-old man was arrested and assisted police with their inquiries into Archer’s death.
The coroner report was expected back on Wednesday but it is unknown what the findings were.
A Wagga mother, who has a baby boy and was saddened by the family’s loss, started a GoFundMe account to raise money to assist to pay for the funeral.
“I would love to help and support the grieving family of baby Archer Ty Butler Crichton, who grew his angel wings too soon at just 8 weeks old,” the page said.
“Losing a child is tough, nobody should ever have to experience this in life.”
It has been shared more than 250 times and raised more than $1200 in 24 hours.
The page is circulating around Facebook with a positive response from those who knew him or those who feel the enormity of this tragedy.
