Young Police collar unlikely intruder - a baby brown snake

Police officers were forced to use unusual methods to handle a prisoner at the Young Police Station recently.

The perpetrator was reportedly mad as a cut snake – because it was one.

A small baby brown snake managed to find its way into trouble, but wary officers had the situation under control.

The offender was escorted out of the dock and gently given a “move along direction” from the police station.

It is an offence to kill brown snakes and police used a shovel to move it on.
