One driver blows positive out of 1800 in Local Area Command's breath testing operations

WAGGA police have yielded an extraordinary result during breath testing operations over the Easter weekend.

The Local Area Command – separately from Wagga’s Highway Patrol unit – conducted 1800 roadside breath tests and only had one positive result.

A 53-year-old Temora woman allegedly blew 0.91 and was charged with mid-range drink driving.

Inspector Peter Robertson said the overall outcome was pleasing.

“It’s a very good result,” he said.
