Warriors controlled the match for the first 20 minutes on Thursday night until Lake Albert scored. With two goals against them, they lost composure and leaked six more.
On Saturday, Hawks’ Isaac Tancredi had a blinder in the second half to score a brace.
“Their defence was solid, they always had one player on me, and a guy behind him, they kept me very isolated,” Henwood Park striker Jake Ploenges said.
Ploenges went off with an ankle injury, and is thankful he has a fortnight to recover due to the long weekend.
