Read today's entry from Harry Gissing's 1914-18 war diaries

April 21, 1917

A beautiful day, warm and bright. B. Section arrives back to-day, and great rumours of our being relieved. Went out after tea for a ride with the two W.O’s. and thoroughly enjoyed it, visiting ……and Senlis, two decent looking villages now almost deserted. Saw a lot of Indians all mounted men. Had coffee and piece of bread at Senlis and paid 1 franc apiece for it. Coming back had a most enjoyable gallop.
