It is hoped the mystical fundraiser will help the young Wagga girl take another step towards life-changing surgery.
Mia’s parent are inviting 180 residents to dine, dig deep and dance at the International Hotel Wagga in July, so their daughter can one day dance with them.
Leila Bright said it was thanks to Wagga’s generosity her daughter’s operation was an option.
Mia was born with an incredibly rare genetic condition that left her hip and femur underdeveloped.
Ms Bright said the price tag for the specially-modified surgery included eight-weeks accommodation in America and rehabilitation.
“Wagga is so generous and we’re so grateful for every single dollar and cent.” Mrs Bright said.
“You can’t just go to your bank and ask for $300,000… we’re like any other small family and we have bills like everyone else.”
Ms Bright said the event on July 29 would give Wagga residents the chance to dress up for a night out.
“It’s great way for us to say thank you in a big way,” she said.
“Heaps of people have been so supportive… it’s amazing.”
