Ms Robertson was among four women who graduated from the Incubate at 35 Degrees program on Monday night, preparing to launch her new business.
The business, called Millwoods Shoes, is aimed at regional parents searching for good quality shoes.
Ms Robertson said becoming a businesswoman fit well into her lifestyle.
“Being a mum, you do worry about how you are going to work shorter hours and manage school holidays,” she said.
“I decided I had to find a way to be there.”
Ms Robertson said she encouraged people to purse their ideas.
“Don’t be afraid to give it a go and to make that first phone call, always trust your gut,” she said.
