The field for next week’s $37,000 Pro-Am has been finalised with some of Australia’s finest golfers to feature at Wagga Country Club on Thursday and Friday.
Nathan Green, a winner on the US PGA Tour, is the latest big name to enter and he joins the likes of Jarrod Lyle, Peter O’Malley, James Nitties and Matt Millar.
There will also be an international flavour with Korea’s Young Hyun Kim to take part.
“The strength of the field is just amazing, I believe it to be the equal of any NSW Open,” Briggs said.
Co-chairman Jeff McNair believes the field says a lot about the event itself.
“The line-up is tremendous and it goes to show how much the Pro Am in Wagga is respected by professional players playing on the PGA Tour,” McNair said.
Andre Stolz is a late withdrawal with a hand injury but there is still no shortage of quality. New resident professional Kurt Stegbauer will represent the club in the field.
On the Thursday night, Wagga Country Club will host their first ever Calcutta, where legendary jockey Jim Cassidy will be the special guest.
The golfers will tee off at 8am and 1pm over two sessions on Thursday and Friday. Entry is free for spectators.
