Searching for fresh start under new captain-coach Tuki Jackson, the Thunder are primed to have virtually a full-strength squad for the trial, which will wrap up the pre-season.
Kangaroos were originally scheduled to play a trial against Griffith on Saturday, but it was cancelled due to a clash with the Group 20 Knockout this weekend.
As ‘Roos now cool their heels before the first round of the Group Nine premiership on April 1-2, Albury will go into Saturday’s trial looking to make a statement before their season opener against Temora at Nixon Park.
Headlining the Thunder team are seven new faces from last year including Jackson, Etu Uaisele, Ben Taylor, Mac Daly, Michael Bray, Levi Freeman and Trenten King.
Unlike Jackson, Uaisele, Hay, Daly and Bray, who have not previously played on the border, King and Freeman are back at the club after a break.
