But while he aims to lower the city’s obesity rates and encourage a healthy lifestyle, his focus this weekend is much bigger.
The In Motion Fitness director is hosting a mega community boot camp to raise money for Ronald McDonald House.
Mr Wainwright has been vocal in the past about his desire to help Wagga reduce its statistic as one of the fattest cities in the state.
“I want to aim to create awareness for health and fitness through regular exercise and correct nutrition because they go hand in hand,” he said.
“I want to try and help people feel and become the best they can be.”
While he educates residents about healthy living, he also wants to give back to the community in another way.
Mr Wainwright will host a mega boot camp at Bolton Park (near the plane on Edward Street) on March 11 from 3pm.
Guest speakers, including former Carlton footballer Anthony Koutoufides, and trainers will lead the session.
All proceeds will be donated to Ronald McDonald House in Wagga.
“We want to get as many people as we can to attend then guide them through what needs to happen with a lifestyle change,” he said.
“This way, the money stays local.
“They are helping families when they are in a tough time.”
