John Battenally and Chris Wilson received the Helen and Peter Walsh Community Peace Award at a ceremony on Sunday morning.
South Wagga Rotarian Brian Roy commended the men on the award and said the judges couldn’t split them.
“John’s been on 18 overseas trips to build hospitals and schools in 17 years and Chris does a lot of work with young people, particularly on the land,” Mr Roy said.
Runners up included Ashwin Vijayaratnam, Kappoka Army Band and Dr Lee Jeffrey.
Long-serving Rotarian Clive Willis was given a posthumous honour for his work as a member of the peace awards’ committee since its inception in 1993.
