Wagga audiences are set for a year of variety and fun as one of its theatre companies announces its 2017 season plays.

More than 60 people attended the night of all theatre nights to open the new season of SoACT on Thursday.

The company announced its plays, directors and some cast members for its upcoming productions.

SoACT’s Fay Walters said members and sponsors were excited to attend the event on the back of the success of its current production.

The company will kick off the new season with Death by Design at the Basement Theatre, opening on March 23.

The action will continue in June with its annual Playfest at the Wagga Commercial Club, which showcases the talents of regional and interstate writers, local actors and directors as they create live theatre in ten minute packages.

In August, the company will bring Állo Állo alive on stage.

Cast will perform Georges Feydeau Ä Flea In Her Ear! in October for the final show of the year.
