Wagga moved through the preliminary rounds undefeated for the third consecutive year and will be keen to win back the Shield after being upset by Yass in last year’s final.
Cootamundra have been forced to make five changes to the team they fielded against Temora in the O’Farrell Cup a fortnight ago.
Luke Berkrey, Adam Twyford, Ryan Connell, Gene Kessell and Brendan Gale will all miss Sunday’s final, with Colin Slater, Ray James, Mal Sutherland and Nicholas Holt coming in.
Wagga has used 26 different players in the Stribley Shield this season and will reward those by sticking with them in the final. Jacson Somerville will captain the team.
Wagga: B Ambler, B McFarlane, J Nicoll, J Carey, J Somerville, G Baxter, Z Hines, A Newcombe, N Mooney, T Doig, S Gaynor, C Grintell. Coach: B Crawford
