Creating dream homes with a high quality finish is one of the main goals for the team at Cavalier Homes in Wagga.
Owners Scott and Sandra Gunning both grew up in Wagga. This local connection means the team also strive to support the city where they can.
They aim to support other local businesses by employing local tradesmen and purchasing materials for builds locally.
“We support the local economy by using local tradespeople and local suppliers,” Scott said.
The couple opened Cavalier Homes two years ago after Scott wanted to compliment his commercial construction business.
Scott has been a builder for the past 30 years and has experience in an extensive range of building projects including new homes, renovations, extensions and commercial.

“We have a genuine desire to build quality homes for our customers,” he said.
“Our mission is to build affordable quality homes by offering innovative products and using our professional team of trades.
“As the owners we deal directly with our customers to ensure they experience an exciting and hassle free building journey.”
Sandra on the other hand wasn’t in the building industry before they opened the business but has always been passionate about building and helping people see their dream home become a reality.
Sandra worked as the assistant principal at Henschke primary school before the change.
“I thought it would be a lot quieter without 300 kids running around but we’re really busy,” she joked.
The team at Cavalier Homes currently consists of nine people.
The team in the office includes owners Sandra and Scott Gunning, sales manager David Barkla and administration manager Simone Harmer.
While on the building side of things, there are three qualified carpenters and two apprentices.
