The players will be accompanied by members of PlayNRL South West NSW who will be presenting their RESPECT program to the children.
“Respect is a pretty big message to promote and hopefully the kids seeing the players promoting that will help them take in the message,” South West NSW game development officer Andrew Herbert said.
“If they can take one small thing we’ve spoken about away with them and we see a positive outcome in their school environment, then it’s working.”
Griffith Public School will be one of the schools to host the presentations and teacher Lachlan Date said the message was one the school implemented every day.
“If you were to summarise the expectation in all of the classrooms, it always comes back to respect,” he said.
“It's one of the most important values we teach the kids so they can become fantastic young adults.”
The players will visit schools and a registration day in Griffith and its surrounding areas on day one.
On day two, Hay, Coleambally, Darlington Point, Yanco, Narrandera and Leeton will all receive visits from the NRL stars.
