The two female occupants, both 18, were taken to Wagga hospital after the silver Hyundai Getz impacted a tree off Menzies Lane, Rannock.
Wagga police inspector Adrian Telfer said the vehicle was travelling westward at an unknown speed when it veered from the road between 3.30pm and 3.50pm. He said major damage caused to the front of the car confined the two occupants who were later extracted from the vehicle by Fire and Rescue personnel.
Inspector Telfer said both the driver and the passenger were transported to hospital with spinal and leg injuries and possible fractures.
Heavenly Baked manager Kristie Furner took to social media following the collision involving two of her staff.
“I won't be open until further notice,” Ms Furner posted.
“But … my family come before coffee, cakes, pies and anything else.”
