The two-year-old filly will start from the second row when the lucrative series starts on Monday night.
It is far from what the 22-year-old had hoped for.
“It is definitely not what I wanted at all,” Armstrong said.
“I wanted to be on the front row and leading out of everyone’s way, but we will see what happens.”
After leading Victorian reinsman Greg Sugars drove the filly to victory on debut at Kilmore earlier this month, Armstrong has enlisted Mirrool reinsman Stephen Maguire to drive at Leeton.
It has been two weeks since her impressive victory and Armstrong has been happy with her progress since then.
“She has come on good and worked super through the week,” he said.
“I suppose I’d rather draw seven and try and get the bad draw out of the road now than draw seven in the final, if I do make the final.”
With the final worth $40,000 14 horses have accepted.
Only four have race experience, three of which are in Armstrong’s heat.
Eight of the entrants are based in the Riverina with Euroa-based David Jack the only trainer with multiple entrants.
In a twist, despite the race being a random barrier draw the two horses with winning form, Our Marscapony and Jack’s Call Me Hector, have both drawn the second row in their respective heats.
