Mr Condon, 88, will be laid to rest after a Service of Thanksgiving for his life in the Wesley Uniting Church on Thursday at 10.30am.
Mr Condon served on Wagga City Council between 1968 and 1974 and again between 1983 and 1987.
His father, HL Condon MBE, was Wagga’s mayor in 1958.
Mr Condon’s family operated one of Wagga’s leading car and mechanical dealerships, Great Southern Motors, for many years.
Lindsay Vidler said he worked with Mr Condon at the dealership for about about 19 years and was inspired by his friend’s community spirit to stand for election to council.
“Keith was always interested in the progress of the city and wanted to see it run the way it should be,” Mr Vidler said.
Mr Condon represented council on the board of Riverina Water County Council, was a leading member of Rotary.
Mayor Greg Conkey said he was saddened to hear of Mr Condon’s death.
“He made a big contribution to the community over many years not only as an alderman but also as a business leader,” Councillor Conkey said.
