The set list reads like a best-of the 1980s compilation CD.
Headliners on this tour are those that were packing stadiums 30 or 40 years ago.
Rose Tattoo rocker Angry Anderson is one of those musicians.
He told The Daily Advertiser that the hope all those years ago was to write music that would stand the test of time.
“We all had that intention to write songs people would be singing in 40 years,” he said.
“They identify with the lyrics or like the melody.”
Marc Christowski from Empire Touring is behind the amalgamation of bands in one tour.
It originally formed as a tribute to celebrate the birthday of the Hordern Pavilion.
“He gets a collection of tried and true people who have had hits and that people have grown up with … it was such a brilliant idea of his,” Anderson said.
“In the early days, we saw a lot of one another, we were mutual fans of each other’s songs.
“We all got to be the best of friends and then there was a gap in the middle.”
Anderson is renowned in the music world and political circles but admits he still has his own fan moments.
The first time he heard Ross Wilson play the opening notes of Eagle Rock, the moments before the first words, it gave him shivers.
“It affected me so deeply that the memory has stayed with me,” he said.

The series of concerts, including the upcoming Rock at the Races show, has been a reunion for Rose Tattoo, Eurogliders, Dragon, Mi-Sex, 1927, Chocolate Starfish and Pseudo Echo.
The are joined by Ross Wilson, Richard Clapton, Dale Ryder, Swanee and Sharon O’Neill.
“The warmth, the love, the comradery and absolute living in the moment … we carry the backstage atmosphere out on stage,” Anderson said.
“The audience get to see their favourite bands, you get the hits.
“I hope for their own benefit, the people in Wagga come out.”
