The muso will judge the Bidgee Blues Club songwriting competition, as part of the iconic organisation’s search for its own theme song.
Mr Luhrs will donate four hours in his Flying Fox Recording Studio as the winner’s prize.
The Let’s Get A Cow singer said songwriters should start with an idea, then either the lyrics or music tune, before weaving the other side in.
“Both ways are valid,” Mr Luhrs said.
“I’m essentially lyric-driven, I start with an idea.”
Entrants will sing their blues style songs, no longer than five minutes, live on Sunday December 4.
