Dawa was selected to represent NSW/ACT’s All Nations team at the Female Diversity Championships in Shepparton recently.
Having her first try at the sport, the Wagga local was named her team’s most valuable player at the national under 14 tournament.
NSW/ACT coach Jalen Timms had glowing praise for Dawa.
“Biola is unique and sure is an extremely talented athlete,” Timms said.
“I can see a very bright future for her if she continues to remain with our code.
“She has all the natural attributes that many footballers envy and work their entire career to try and obtain.”
Around 200 players and more than 70 support staff from Indigenous and multicultural backgrounds were involved in the week-long tournament.
The carnival continued the AFL’s focus on women’s football with a new eight-team national competition to get underway next season.
