Taste Riverina Festival has kicked off on the October long weekend, with scores of events across the region showcasing its best produce.
While rain and flooding has affected some outdoor events, Food I Am founder Tania Sibrey said the festival gave locals the perfect opportunity to sample their own backyard.
“It’s a month where a lot of consumers in the Riverina become a lot more aware of what we have to offer,” she said.
Food I Am is also running 12 one-off Taste Riverina events, which inlcudes a cooking demonstration by chef Ramael Scully, co-author of NOPI cookbook.
