It’s a baptism of fire for the NSW Blues’ under 13 boy’s coach, who has travelled to Perth for his first tournament with the squad, at the most anticipated event on the outdoor hockey calendar.
NSW Blues, one of two NSW state teams, won the first game of the tournament, defeating ACT 1-0 on Thursday at 10am. Next, the Blues play WA Lightening at 5pm, a team that lost to NSW State earlier in the day. The real test comes as NSW Blues faces defending premier VIC Blue on Friday at 11am. There are 10 remaining games, until the tournament ends on October 8.
