McAuley was awarded Man of the Match as the Sharks scored a 14-8 victory over West Wyalong in the grand final at Griffith.
McAuley is already a three-time premiership player with Farrer League club Temora, and spent the past two seasons with South Mildura in the Sunraysia League, where he won the league best and fairest last year.
The 25-year-old juggled his commitments at Mildura this year with playing games with the Sharks.
“For me it was good enough with just the win. It doesn’t matter who wins man of the match, it’s a team effort,” McAuley told The Area News.
Tullibigeal-Lake Cargelligo were led to their third title by captain-coach Tim Ring.
